Arrival:

On Arrival guests must arrive no earlier than 2pm (unless other wise arranged).

Payment:

Payment is made on checking out. We cater for all Credit Card and Debit Cards. Guest
must vacate room by 11.00am.

Departure:

Guest must vacate room by 11.00am.

 

If the on-line booking system says there are no vacancies, it is still often possible to book a room by telephoning the hotel directly.

 

We operate a 24 hour Cancellation policy.

 

Reservations which are cancelled within 24 hours of the date of occupancy will be charged in full.

Facilities

Rooms
The Russell Hotel (AA**) is a privately run family hotel that has twenty five comfortable bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms. The décor is very traditional without the blandness of modern chain hotels so each room is different with loads of quirks and character.

We do not have the resources or the huge marketing clout of the big Hotel Chains, and our décor may be a bit older, but a stay with us means that your money is keeping a traditional British family enterprise in business and not just feeding the profits of a super international organization.

And we offer a whole range of facilities many of which are now being cut by the Big Chains in the same price group;

* All our rooms have colour televisions, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer and thermostat controlled heating.
* A free car park is available to all our guests immediately adjacent to the hotel.
* A laundry service and ironing facilities are available upon request.
* A Full English breakfast in our charming dining room overlooking Gibraltar Rocks and the Common is included in the room tariff.
* Our prices are fully inclusive of VAT and all local taxes.
* Free Wi-Fi internet access is available in most rooms including all the executive rooms.

Executive Mini Suites

These rooms are yet larger and more luxurious than our standard rooms and are equipped additionally with;
* Lounge area with comfortable soft furnishings and coffee table
* A fully operating kitchenette including microwave, fridge and utensils,
* A top quality trouser press including ironing board and iron.
* Luxury carpeted en suite facilities with full sized baths and separate shower cubicles for maximum flexibility.

Some of the Executive Suites are located in a large Edwardian Villa directly adjacent to the main building and thereby well suited to longer term guests wanting a degree of home like independence.
With a separate street entrance and a dedicated Executive Lounge on the ground floor to receive visitors, the Executive Annex really is a home from home.

Restaurant

A full traditional English Breakfast is freshly cooked to order and served in our bright and sunny restaurant directly overlooking the common. Our free range eggs and large selection of breakfast items make for a great start to your day.
Our collection of beautiful Pre Raphaelite pictures may give plenty of food for thought too.

Bar and Lounge

The 24-hour Bar with a great views over the common offers a comfortable social atmosphere to share a drink or just relax and unwind. Directly adjacent is the spacious lounge with gorgeous soft furnishings, coffee tables, loads of designer art and a great TV – just like you would have at home.

Continental cafe terrace

Directly before the hotel and overlooking the common is our terrace, a great place to eat and drink in the open air with a view over lush greenery and the magnificent limestone outcrops that draw so many tourists to our town.
A very sunny spot but if the day is too hot our guests may take the shade beneath an ancient cherry tree and watch the world go by.
