Welcomes visitors A place of Christian pilgrimage and prayer since 604AD, the present building is a blend of Norman and Gothic architecture, with a fine Crypt. For individuals, entry is free, but we do ask for a donation. Photography is permitted on purchase of a permit. Groups (i.e. 10 or more) MUST be booked in advance via the Education & Visits Office. Tel: 01634 401301 There is a full schools programme. For groups Guided Tours are available all year. Permission needed for guiding. There is also a joint group offer with the paddle steamer Kingswear Castle (April to September) N.B. TO OFFSET THE COST OF RUNNING THE OFFICE GROUPS ARE CHARGED A SMALL AMOUNT. Visitors are welcome to join our services, for details contact the Cathedral Office: 01634 843366 The Cathedral is open daily throughout the year, but events may restrict access. There are Tea Rooms in the Old Deanery, two Shops & good disabled access. ROCHESTER IS EASILY REACHED By Road: 20 minutes from the Dartford Tunnel By Rail: 10 minutes walk from the High Street. Parking: There are several pay and display car parks. Coaches: There is a coach drop-off and pick-up point at the rear of the Visitor Information Centre.
